PROGRAMS

Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program is available for children who are 12 months old by Sept. 1st. Our toddlers will have opportunities to grow in an environment where they are loved as unique individuals as well as an essential part of their classroom family. Every week they are offered a wide variety of age-appropriate activities that promote social and emotional, language, cognitive, fine and gross motor skills. We believe that a Christian Education is the most important foundation to a child’s development. With that in mind, every learning experience we provide is intentional and God honoring.

Toddler Curriculum

To provide the best learning experience to your child, we use a combination of The Wee Learn Curriculum and ABC Jesus Loves Me.

The Wee Learn Curriculum provides the framework on which teachers can build an early childhood program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). The Wee Learn incorporates social and emotional development, early literacy, small and large group opportunities and at-home activities.

The ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum introduces the child to learning through play.  Along with expanding the child's vocabulary with new words and sign-language, the child is introduced to Bible stories and songs.  Academically, a 1-year-old is introduced to poems, colors, shapes, and animals.  The child is also taught self-care and obedience.  A "Book of the Week" introduces the child to some of the best toddler books in print according to ABCJLM users and families. A child’s growth and development is viewed as a process, not an event. Development begins when the child is conceived and continues throughout life. Spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social development are equally important.

Pre-K 2 Program

Our Pre-K 2 Program is available for children who are 2 years old by Sept. 1st, and who are completely potty-trained. Our 2-year-old program encourages independence, socialization and emotional growth. Our 2 year-olds will have opportunities to grow in an environment where they are loved as unique individuals as well as an essential part of their classroom family. They will also be able to explore themes of character through, community, environment, traditions, experiences and stories. Some of the exciting learning milestones to look forward to in our Pre-k2 are following 2 steps directions, a longer attention span. a growing interest in books and literacy, self-help skills, recognizing primary colors, counting to 20, beginning letter and number recognition, eagerness and exploration, and so much more. We believe that a Christian Education is the most important foundation to a child’s development. With that in mind, every learning experience we provide is intentional and God honoring.

The ABC Jesus Loves Me Curriculum focuses on themes with corresponding Bible stories.  Bible stories are supported with memory verses, songs, and finger plays, poems or nursery rhymes.  Academically, a 2-year-old is introduced to colors, shapes, counting, and recognizing letters and numbers.  The child is also taught self-care and manners along with personal information.  A child’s growth and development is viewed as a process, not an event. Development begins when the child is conceived and continues throughout life. Spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social development is equally important.

Pre-K 3 Program

Our Pre-K 3 Program is available for children who are 3-years-old by Sept. 1st and completely potty-trained. Our 3-year-old program encourages independence, socialization, emotional, gross and fine motor and academic skills. Our 3-year-olds will have opportunities to grow in an environment where they are loved as unique individuals as well as an essential part of their classroom family. They will also be able to explore themes of character through, community, environment, traditions, experiences and stories. Our Pre-K 3 program is the groundwork for our VPK program. Children who attend our Pre-K 3 before entering VPK will be more equipped and, essentially, will make an easier transition into Kindergarten. We believe that a Christian Education is the most important foundation to a child’s development. With that in mind, every learning experience we provide is intentional and God-honoring.

VPK Program (4 & 5 Year Olds)

Children must live in Florida and be 4-years-old on or before September 1st of the current school year to be eligible. If their fourth birthday falls February 2nd through September 1st in a calendar year, parents can choose to postpone enrolling their child in VPK that year and wait until the following year when their child is 5.

Based on collaboration with a state panel of experts, public input from citizens across Florida, and national and state expert reviewers; Standards for Four-Year-Olds reflects the latest research on child development and developmentally appropriate practices for 4-year-old children.

Standards and benchmarks are organized into five domains.

  • Physical development

  • Approaches to learning

  • Social and emotional development

  • Language, communication and emergent literacy

  • Cognitive development and general knowledge

Benchmarks are available for two domains – Language, Communication and Emergent Literacy and the Mathematical Thinking section in Cognitive Development and General Knowledge – to help explain what Florida's children should know and be able to do by the end of prekindergarten.
